"Gooooo-in' to the chapel and we're gonna get MAAAAAA-RIED!!!!" Here are our ceremony photos!
Thomas' SWEET grandparents! We just adore them and hope to have a marriage just like them!
My Nanny escorted by Jason. The Grandparents were escorted down by my dear friend and professor from college, Dr. McGrath, singing Ave Maria.
Thomas' parents...another couple we want to model our marriage after.
My stepmother Cindy and my brother Jeremy
My beautiful mother and my brother Jason
I was told after the wedding that 2 year old Preston stole the show. He started picking up the petals and then he saw his grandpa and that was it! He wanted to sit with him!
Preston was still running around!
Grandpa had to get him so the show could go on! Funny!
My Daddy giving me away! Melts my heart!
Exchanging vows. We used the traditional ones in keeping with our very traditional wedding.
Giving of the rings
Lighting the unity candle. I was really worried about this throughout the ceremony because the taper candles were burning down really fast and the ribbon I put on them was starting to catch fire. I was so relieved we didn't start a fire during the ceremony!
A prayer over our marriage said by our truly special minister Charles Houston. He has known us both since we were babies. He was our minister at the Methodist church we both grew up in and a very close family friend on my side.
The KISS!
I think I was telling Thomas to wait for a second until the music got going.
Thomas telling me that the photographer told him to stop and kiss me half way down the aisle. It was funny because the photographer told me to do the same thing, but we both thought we were going to catch each other by surprise.
That second kiss! Someone yelled, "Get a Room!" Haha!
SO UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY!
The face says it all!
Unspeakable joy for marrying the love of my life!
My biggest brother Jeremy giving me a sweet hug. Such tender moments!
My mom welcoming Thomas to our family.
Grandma and my mom hugging!
Preston was TIRED!
Man, those were pretty flowers, but they smelled awful!
Telling Thomas to take off his ring and look inside of it.
Reading what I had engraved as a surprise. "The Beginning of Forever" This was special because the ring belonged to his paternal grandfather who has passed. He was big into "New Beginnings" and named his boat something along those lines. We didn't know this until after I had it engraved when Sean (the wonderful photographer and Thomas' cousin) told me this at the salon that morning when I was telling him this. I told Thomas and it is so dear to him now for so many reasons, but one of them being that.
Preston still trying to pick up petals! Haha! That is what happens with babies though, so I couldn't have cared less. This is so funny to me though because Melissa (second on right) is saying, "No Preston." I didn't care at all!
Preston left with his grandpa. Autumn was leaning against me. She was so clingy to me that day, and I really loved it.
